Torquay's newest attraction is a giant passenger carrying, helium-filled tethered balloon which
flies its passengers to an altitude of up to 400 feet above Torbay for spectacular views of the
surrounding coast and countryside.
The Hiflyer Balloon commenced commercial flights on Friday 23rd May 2008. Sarah Anne was
given the opportunity to sample a flight before it was opened to the public. The photographs
on this page reflect the magnificent views that can be seen from the balloon at a height of 400
feet (125 meters).
