Brixham Welcomes the Tall Ships Challenger Fleet
On Wednesday May 28th the Tall Ships Challenger Fleet sailed into Brixham, for a
few days stay, after racing down from Portsmouth. The Challenger Fleet is
operated by the Tall Ships Youth Trust, whose association with Brixham has existed
for over 50 years. Each of the four 72 foot 'Round the World' yachts has a crew of
18 and on Friday 30th raced against each other around Torbay in morning and
afternoon races.

This is the premier annual event of the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association held
on the 5th, 6th and 7th June near Wadebridge in North Cornwall. Devon Gallery

visited the showground on Friday 6th and the images they created will be on this
website during the course of the next few days.
